The group Loei Phitthayakom Troupe of Loei Phitthayahom comes from the North East corner of Thailand's province of Loie. The group formed in 2002. Amongst the groups list of recent successful performances was at the International Music Festival in Malaysia where they received First Place in the category Solo Performance "King Sirikit for Pong" Long (Xylophone), First Place for "Wong Ponglang (North East Folk Music Band) and the First Place for Phin (Indian Flute). |  |

Friday, 3rd may 2013: Whether marching, traditional or brass band, whether "Spielmannszug", Fanfare or Show band - there are many names for "brass". And this brass music today is as diverse as all their names. Of traditional marches up to the film music of James Bond these bands are fascinating a wide audience. The Trachtenfest is known for its historical parade where more than 15 bands will participate.

Media company "Hessischer Rundfunk" visits Schlitz for first festival-preliminary
Thursday, 4th april 2013: Mr. Mugler of the media company Hessischer Rundfunk visited Schlitz at the beginning of this this week with his team to talk together with the Trachtenfest association about a possible shooting during the festival.
The team is expected to arrive on Tuesday before the festival to shoot activities about the Trachtenfest around Schlitz and Schlitzerland until Saturday for the 45 minute program "Hallo Hessen" position.
There are also plans to re-record the show Hessentip.
On May 27th the team of Hessischer Rundfunk (HR) will arrive again to check out different shooting places and to make technical arrangements on-site.

Tuesday, 2nd april 2013 - osthessen-news: The only every two years happening Schlitzer Trachtenfest of 12th to 15th July 2013 will attract many thousands of visitors to the Upper Hessian castle town again . Thursday, 21st march 2013: The Trachtenfest gets closer and the organizations already run at full speed.
A colorful and varied program awaits you!
Therefore the web page also get filled bit by bit with contents. Recently the first groups which will be guests in July, 2013 in Schlitz are certain.
Eight groups are already confirmed ... Guests will come from Brazil, Thailand, France, Peru, Scotland, Serbia, Ireland and Bräunlingen (Germany).
